Give Gord and Wayne HQ your two cents. Then maybe send two actual cents. Just kidding. If you have any comments on your choice, include them below.
Once again, we have another poll. But this time, we're not going to ask you who will be eliminated. But rather, who should get the extra Express Pass? Should Steph and Kristen honour the deal they made with Jillian and Emmett, even though the Big Brother team bailed on the task? Or is there another team that should get it? Maybe another one of the Toronto teams, perhaps? Someone else that they've bonded on the race so far.? Give Gord and Wayne HQ your two cents. Then maybe send two actual cents. Just kidding. If you have any comments on your choice, include them below. We're staying Alberta for the second episode and down to nine teams with Anthony & Brandon's unfortunate elimination after losing their gamble. It's always a risk when you choose to take a penalty and the boys chose wrong. If you've listened to our exit interview you know they've learned never to quit again, but they're young so they've got plenty of time to make more mistakes. Speaking of mistakes, see how many you can spot in tonight's episode. With Jillian & Emmett keeping ahead of the pack for their first win they're also the first ones out at 12:56am. Not a lot you can do at 12:56 in the morning in Jasper, especially since teams must now make their way by one of three buses to Calgary. Again with the bus rides. Why don't they just have the teams drive to Calgary, where they'll also find two Express Passes? Steph & Kristin are next out at 1:45am, but that hour lead for Jillian & Emmett isn't worth squat when they'll all be waiting at the bus station together. Stéphane & Antoine are off at 4:32am, almost four hours behind the lead and they actually took a cab to the bus station. In Jasper? You can walk the whole town at a leisurely pace in under an hour why would they take a cab? Anyway, all three teams are on the first bus which probably left some time around 6:00am. Ashley & Joel are the next team to head out at 4:35am right behind Stéphane & Antoine (which may have been why they grabbed a cab), and will be the first team on bus number two. Julie & Lowell are off at 6:11am and Frankie & Amy are hanging off their backpack straps at 6:13am. So that fills up the second bus. Rita & Yvette, Anne & Tanya, and Kate & Kelly will make up the third bus. Those buses are probably about an hour apart and that's gotta be a thorn in the side of Jillian & Emmett who had a six hour lead on last place. All teams will be dropped off at Calgary City Hall where they'll be met by Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi who will give them they're next clue. Mayor Nenshi is a pretty popular guy and one of his right hand men is an ex-student of my wife's so she's got a soft spot for him. Jillian & Emmett are the first ones to race up and receive their next clue, a photo of a head sculpture and some comment about being part of the energy. They're looking for Wonderland and their next clue. While Jillian & Emmett get directions from a local and grab Steph & Kristen who are right behind them, Stéphane & Antoine manage to find Wonderland first and grab the first clue . . . another Roadblock; Who feels like they're in control. One team member is about to ascend the Calgary Tower, built to celebrate Canada's centennial, and then rappel 58 stories down the tower to receive their next clue from the tower's mascot. Antoine chose to do this one and I'm thinking his dad will be pretty glad he did when they actually get to the Roadblock. Joining Antoine will be Kristin and Emmett who both feel like they're in control. Once on top of the tower Emmett is the first one to get strapped in and he's looking a little nervous as he edges down to the edge of the tower. It's kinda like walking on the outside of a spaceship with that curved roof and all those round windows, and I'm sure Wayne would just love this challenge. The hardest part is climbing over the edge but after that it's clear sailing 600 feet to the pavement below. The second bus has arrived and Mayor Nenshi is still there with a smile on his face to greet the next three teams, including Julie & Lowell who go in for the hug. I think Julie is more excited to meet the mayor than she is to be on the second bus. As they head for the tower we cut back to see Kristen going over the side in an attempt to beat Emmett down. Her fear of heights certainly isn't holding her up but as she gets closer to Emmett one of her lines gets caught and she's stuck hanging around. Over at Wonderland Joel chooses to do the Roadblock, as does Lowell and Frankie, and as they race for the tower Emmett reclaims first place and they receive their next clue. They must now make their way to the Beatnik Bus by following it on social media, and then find the musician to receive their next clue. The Beatnik Bus is a return to the glory of vinyl and is loaded with over 500 records (which isn't really a lot of records) and will be making ten minute stops around the city. The trick is to find the bus before it moves on to the next location and this may be a chance for Ashley & Joel to move up the ranks with Ashley having lived in Calgary in the past. The only way to follow the bus though is to find someone on the street to use their phone to hunt it down, something Jillian & Emmett get on right away and then head out. Steph and Kristen are just a few minutes behind the lead as Antoine just goes over the edge and the other teams hit the tower. Those buses out of Jasper must have been closer than an hour behind each other because there's no way it can take that long to rappel down. Joel goes over as Antoine hits the ground, gets the next clue and then he and his dad head off to grab another cab. Meanwhile, Jillian & Emmett and Steph & Kristen have found the Beatnik Bus, but as they race to catch it the musician closes his case, jumps aboard, and off the bus goes. Aargh! Time to find another local and as they discover the next stop for the Beatnik Bus, Jillian & Emmett run off while Steph & Kristen grab a cab, just as the third bus from Jasper arrives. It's Anne, Yvette and Kelly for the Roadblock, but how is it possible that the twins from Edmonton have no idea about the Calgary Tower? Jillian & Emmett and Steph & Kelly arrive at the Beatnik Bus just as the musician starts playing and they have a few minutes to catch their breath before he gives them their next clue. It's time for the Detour and the Express Pass reveal. Those who decide to vie for the Express Pass must make their way to Canada Boy Vinyl, the only vinyl record pressing plant left in Canada, and sleeve records until they find the passes which are hidden in one of thirteen crates of freshly pressed vinyl. The team that finds the Express Pass gets one for their team and one to give away to another team before the end of the fourth leg.
As both teams are making a play for the Express Pass, Emmett pitches a deal that whichever team finds the passes they'll give the second one to the other team. The girls are on board with that deal and at this point in the game it's a good one to make because you know who has it, but it'll all depend on how honest both teams are. Then again, this is Canada, we're all pretty upstanding, . . . right? Off they go across town to Canada Boy Vinyl. Back on the streets, Rita & Yvette keep circling the wrong tower looking for a marked door until they have that face palm moment when they look up and see the actual Calgary Tower. It's about time. As they head for the tower, Frankie is pumped to go over the edge, as is Lowell who can't really see how far it is to the pavement below so he has nothing to fear. I think it's funny when he says he can see his house from up there. Stéphane and Antoine finally catch up to the Beatnik Bus and get the next clue and wisely decide against going after the Express Pass so they're off on the Detour, which both lead teams will still need to do. This leg's Detour has teams Sim or Swim. In Sim, teams must locate SAIT and take control of a 4D crane simulator to beat the clock in a training exercise; while in Swim, teams must locate the Bow Habitat Station to help restock Alberta's lakes by filling two cages with rainbow trout to receive their next clue. I'm pretty sure Wayne and I would head to SAIT but Stéphane & Antoine choose Swim. Joel & Ashley have found the Beatnik Bus before he moved off and are now on their way to Sim. While on the way to Canada Boy Vinyl, Jillian & Emmett finally notice the Detour clue and make the call to skip the Express Pass and head for one of the Detours to stay in first place so they choose Swim. That's fine as long as Steph & Kristen stick with the deal to give them the second Express Pass but a bit of a risk otherwise because they've just made that alliance and it's not the best idea to break it five minutes in. Still, at this point in the game, it's a risk they can take. Arriving at Canada Boy Vinyl, Steph & Kristen get started on their first crate as they begin to wonder whether Jillian & Emmett bailed or just got a bad cab. It's nice that they've considered both options as opposed to just assuming that their new allies lied to them from the start. One of them figures that, if the other team doesn't show that could be a deal breaker, but that's the risk they take as Jillian & Emmett arrive at the fish hatchery and hit the pool. Frankie & Amy are having way too much fun at the Beatnik Bus and they choose to Swim. Up in the air Anne is going over the edge and singing happy birthday to her son as she descends. That's kinda cute. While Anne sings, Julie & Lowell have found the Beatnik Bus and choose to Swim, which is where we find Stéphane & Antoine joining Jillian & Emmett. Obviously there's a trick to moving that large net to corral the fish and it's one all teams will need to learn to get through this task. Out of the pool and over at SAIT, Joel & Ashley have arrived to try the 4D simulator. This looks awesome and as Joel tries his hand knocking over virtual obstacles, across town Kelly goes over the side of the tower. Not to be left too far behind, Yvette is the last one to go over the edge and head down. No problem getting down and getting their next clue but over at Canada Boy Vinyl Steph & Kristen are on to crate number seven and not really happy with Jillian & Emmett so there goes that deal. Especially if the girls bail now that they're an hour into it. Good thing they didn't bail because crate number eight was the charm. Now that they have both Express Passes, Steph & Kristen are off to Swim. At least they're doing a lot better than Rita & Yvette who seem to have forgotten rule number one and are just racing around the streets looking for the Beatnik Bus or a musician, even going so far as to ask some guy with a guitar if he's the guy they're looking for. He's not, and he looks as confused as they do. Off they go again, eventually pressing the emergency help button at a transit centre to find the Beatnik Bus. This is not that kind of an emergency, but the guy still tried to help. Jillian & Emmett are finally loading their fish into the cage while Stéphane and Antoine try to catch up, Frankie & Amy hit the pool and Steph & Kristen arrive at SAIT to find Joel & Ashley. What they also find is that they are terrible virtual crane operators so Steph & Kristen decide to switch Detours and they're off the Bow Habitat Station. Ashley doesn't see the point in switching since they're almost getting the hang of the controls so Joel keeps at it. Speaking of control, Julie & Lowell are about to try their hand at controlling trout, something all the teams are having trouble with as they all find a few stragglers slipping out. On the street Kate & Kelly get their next clue from the musician and choose Sim. While they head to SAIT, Jillian & Emmett finally catch their last straggler, call for a check, and get their next clue. All teams will now be heading to Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, to find Jon at the next Pit Stop. Opening this summer, that looks like a cool place to check out, but the last team to arrive may be eliminated, and speaking of the last team . . . Rita & Yvette finally get the Detour clue and choose to do Sim. Steph & Kristen arrive at the hatchery and realize they're still in the running as they join three other teams, all of which keep losing fish. Not a problem for Stéphane & Antoine who finally caged all of their little happy rainbows and received the next clue to the Pit Stop. On their fishy tail are Frankie & Amy who've managed to move up a few spots and are now in third heading for Studio Bell. Time for Joel & Ashley, after practicing for awhile, to make their first attempt to get through the training exercise in under six minutes. It's looking pretty good for their first attempt and as Ashley takes over from her dad they do it in 5:46. Easy peasy. They get the Pit Stop clue and off they go before anyone else shows up at the Sim challenge. Jillian & Emmett find Studio Bell, race inside, find Jon and are once again Team Number 1. They've also won a trip for two to Paris, France and 5 nights accommodation thanks to Hotels.com. Now all they have to do is win back the trust of Steph & Kristen and they're golden. Kate & Kelly arrive at SAIT to discover that video games are bad for you, well at least they are for them. Neither one can figure out the controls so they decide to switch tasks and head off to the hatchery where Anne & Tanya are corralling fish, Steph & Kristen are loading their cage, and Julie & Lowell have missed a few obvious stragglers. At least they've figured out the flaw in their plan as they try to locate those stray fish. Stéphane & Antoine are Team Number 2, and Frankie & Amy are Team Number 3. That's a good jump from sixth to third for the mother and daughter team and they're pretty pumped as they hope for another jump on the next leg. At the back of the pack for this leg, Rita & Yvette continue to struggle as they find the simulator too difficult to figure out but they realize that switching at this point could cost them the leg. Decisions, decisions, . . . and they decide to switch. Anne & Tanya have done a lot better this leg as they finish Swim in fifth and head out for Studio Bell, with Steph & Kristen right behind them as Julie & Lowell hunt down their last stragglers. Joel & Ashley are Team Number 4 as Julie & Lowell receive their next clue. As they head out, Rita & Yvette head in to find Kate & Kelly still working on the task, or balancing on beams . . . I'm not sure which. For some reason they've corralled their fish as far away from their cages as possible and keep having to exit the pool to carry a net full of fish to their cage at the far end. Not the best laid plan was it girls. Anne & Tanya are Team Number 5, and Steph & Kristen are Team Number 6. It's a big fall from second place and when Jon asks if Jillian & Emmett burnt a bridge today by abandoning them, the girls admit that they're not sure they need to stick to their deal but time will tell. Julie & Lowell are Team Number 7. That leaves just two teams back at the fish hatchery and as Rita & Yvette power through like sharks at a feeding frenzy, Kate & Kelly call for a check only to find they still have fish in the pool. Kelly & Kate grab the last few fish and they're off with Rita & Yvette close behind them. It's going to be a foot race to the Pit Stop as the cabs try to outdo each other. It's a mad race up the stairs but in the end it's Rita & Yvette as Team Number 8 and Kate & Kelly as Team Number 9, the last team to arrive. There's a long pause and we all know what's coming when Jon commends they're good attitude and tells them they'll need to keep it up as this was a non-elimination leg. It seems a bit early for that but I'm sure the girls are happy with it. Next week, teams are off to the Mekong Delta in Vietnam where they'll encounter culture shock, language barriers, excessive heat, and another challenge where they'll need to corral a bunch of uncooperative animals. W. C. Fields always said to never work with children or animals and we can see why. So that's it for my review of episode two. Wayne and I will be back shortly with our video review of the teams racing through Calgary and our opinion of where they went wrong. There's no exit interview this week but you never know what we'll come up with between episodes. Until that time. We're back for the fourth season of The Amazing Race Canada. That's right, we've made it to season four but that's not much of a surprise when we have one of the highest rated programs on Canadian television to enjoy week after week through the long hot days of summer. Oh sure, Wayne and I tend to take some sort of break during the season to keep our families happy, but we still strive to give our fans the best possible reviews we can. Not only are we back with our reviews but we'll also be kicking off another season of our video reviews from the Druid and lots of guest interviews. If you haven't done so already check out our interview with Mike Bickerton, the head honcho of casting for the Amazing Race Canada. Just to get everyone up to speed before we get going here's a quick recap of this season's ten teams: Joel Ground (42) & Ashley Callingbull (26), the father/daughter team from the Enoch Cree Nation just west of Edmonton Anthony Limbombe (21) & Brandon Campeau (21), who've been best friends for a whole year (yes, I think that's funny) and are this season's youngest competitors, from Windsor Steph Eclair (27) & Kristen McKenzie (25), a dating couple and former varsity softball athletes, from Toronto Rita & Yvette Yakibonge (23), twin sisters who were born in Montreal but are now lucky enough to be from Edmonton Stéphane (51) & Antoine Tétreault (25), the father/son team with the oldest competitor, from Montreal Julie (33) & Lowell Taylor (34), the married couple, one of whom is legally blind, from Lethbridge Anne Morrone (40) & Tanya Muzzatti (40), who've been best friends for 35 years and are both single "Supermoms", from Toronto Kelly Xu (25) & Kate Pan (25), best friends, business partners and the first female Asian team to compete in TARC, from Toronto Frankie (41) & Amy Gassler (25), the mother/daughter hairstylists, from Aldergrove Jillian MacLaughlin (30) & Emmett Blois (28), the BBCan Exes and winner (Jillian), from Nova Scotia Now that we're all up to date on the teams let's hope we can remember who's who as we start off with tonight's episode, which production has titled "Who's Ready To Let It All Hang Out". Based on the preview teaser this looks like a job for SuperWayne, but let's wait until we get to that point before we pass judgement. We begin the episode in Yellowknife, 400 kms south of the Arctic Circle, where we find all ten teams making their way across Great Slave Lake by ATV to reach the starting line. This is a great time for team introductions where we finally get to see how the teams look on film rather than on paper and how they interact with one another. All of the teams look pretty competitive this season so it should be a good one. As all teams arrive at the starting line Jon welcomes everyone to the race. He gives his opening spiel, tells everyone what they can win, including their choice of vehicle from all the Chevrolets they'll drive this season and the $250,000.00 and then . . . Go! . . . Jon releases the hounds and they're off to grab their first clue off of their packs. Frankie & Amy are the first ones to open their clue, and all teams must now make their way to the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories where they'll need to correctly translate a Weledeh phrase (one of the eleven languages spoken in the NT) to send them on their way to their next clue. Finding the initial sign is easy but they need to memorize it and then head into the forest to find the three words among hundreds of translation plaques. Once they successfully make the translation they'll receive their next clue and their BMO CashBack MasterCard to use during the race. Like I said, nobody had any problem finding the sign but finding the translations was a whole other challenge. Add in the ice and snow and let the pratfalls begin. Ashley figures all she needs to do is correctly pronounce the phrase but she's wrong. Rule number one. That's all I'm saying. Jillian & Emmett get two of the plaques and totally guess the third and are the first team to get the clue. All teams will now be heading to Jasper, Alberta which is a place I know and love and have spent many vacations in. First they'll need to drive their 2016 Chevy Silverado to the Yellowknife Airport to catch one of two flights and the first four teams to arrive will be on the first flight. I'm not sure if that's going to be Jillian & Emmett though because they have no idea where the airport is as they head out of the parking lot. One after another the remaining teams make the translation and receive the clue and its Anne & Tanya sliding into second position as they drive off. Jillian hasn't changed much in how she talks to Emmett but by now he must be used to it as she redirects him to the airport, but it's Stéphane & Antoine who are the first ones on the flight. Anne & Tanya maintain second place while Joel & Ashley move into third. As for Jillian & Emmett . . . they're going to need to step it up to get in there ahead of Julie & Lowell and this is not the time for Emmett to show how relaxed he is. It's a foot race to the counter and . . . they made it, they beat the blind guy, . . . barely. All teams will be flying to Edmonton and then boarding buses to Jasper. Why they don't just let the teams drive there I don't know but once there they'll need to locate the Jasper Train Station and their 2016 Chevy Colorados which they'll use for the rest of this leg. Any team who can't locate the Jasper Train Station should probably just give up now. As the first four teams locate their Colorados they also find their first Roadblock and the official title of this episode. One team member will ride the Jasper SkyTram up Whistler's Mountain and once they're above the treeline the tram will stop and they'll have to climb out and under the Jasper SkyTram to reach their next clue. I'm not really afraid of heights, despite what Wayne tells you, but he definitely has more upper body strength as a drummer than I do as an art guy so this would definitely be a job for SuperWayne. However, Wayne and I are not running this race so it's Stéphane, at 51 years old and with a serious fear of heights, who's the first one to decide he's doing it. Better luck next time Wayne. Emmett also decides to do it, as does Anne and Ashley. The long and winding road that leads to the Jasper SkyTram (damn ear worms) finds the first three teams lining up while Anne & Tanya appear to have missed the turn. Enjoy the Columbia Ice Fields girls. The other teams have arrived in Jasper and Steph decides to do the Roadblock, as does Amy, and Lowell, and Kelly, and Rita, and Brandon. While they all head to the tram the first three teams are heading up inside it and Stéphane is the first one to make the attempt for the clue . . . and the first one to slip and fall to his . . . end of the bungee cord. His son is proud of him for facing his fear but that fall should have killed it, and unfortunately moves them to the back of the pack. Anne & Tanya are still driving around as the other teams line up wondering who is going to be the last to arrive at the Roadblock. Meanwhile, Ashley is not a happy camper as she goes over the side of the tram and makes her way to the bottom. She is just about to go under the tram and . . . down she goes kicking and screaming. Time for Emmett to take a shot and one thing he has going for him is that he isn't afraid of heights. He's also got a lot more upper body strength and seems to be doing a lot better than everyone else. Slow and steady and he's across the bottom of the tram and . . . he's got the clue. Jillian & Emmett are the first team heading to the shores of the Athabasca River where they'll need to suit up and paddle down the icy cold water to find their next clue. No problem as long as they make the right turn on to the highway. Speaking of right turns, Anne & Tanya have finally found their way to the base of Whistler's Mountain and will be the last to arrive at the Jasper SkyTram. While waiting at the back of the line, Stéphane & Antoine read the clue and find that his weight will be supported by a harness for the second attempt so that takes a load off. Amy, Steph and Kelly are the next three to go up in the tram but Amy doesn't make it, . . . then Kelly doesn't make it, . . . then Steph tries something a little different to get under the tram and she manages to get to the ladder but then, just as she hooks her foot into the ladder, . . . she slips from the tram and finds herself hanging upside down. Not exactly what she had planned but despite being pretty nerve wracking she didn't fall. Steph managed to work her way back upright and she got the clue. Steph & Kristen are the second team to head to the shores of the Athabasca River where we find Jillian & Emmett floating away as Jillian keeps trying to get Emmett to paddle where she wants to head. Good luck with that.
As TeamBBCan float along, Kate & Kelly start rationalizing the time involved in completing the task, assuming right from the start that they'll fall, and decide to take a four hour penalty. Brandon thinks that's pretty risky this early in the game but he hasn't tried the challenge yet. Steph & Kristen find the rafts and are now playing catch up with Jillian & Emmett who find their next clue. It's another Roadblock, where the team member who didn't do the last Roadblock will need to rappel down 80 feet into Two Creek Canyon, then navigate along the canyon and under a bridge to find a Parks Canada rep who will give them a beacon to locate one of three caches to find their next clue. If you know how to follow a signal this is even easier than geocaching, and if Wayne fell from the tram this would be my task. No problem. Back at the SkyTram, Yvette tries the same move as Steph but she slips right at the end and now it's Lowell's turn. Unfortunately it's not his vision that lets him down but his grip as he too falls beneath the tram. That means it's time for Brandon to try his hand at the challenge but he lasted even less time than Lowell and once they make their way back to the ground, Anthony & Brandon decide to make a run for it and take the penalty rather than try again and that could be a really bad decision because they're way behind Kate & Kelly at this point. Steph & Kristen find the clue for the second Roadblock and Kristen is pumped to make their way to Two Valley Canyon where Jillian is just about to go over the edge. Yes, there's a funny line here but I'm not touching it this time. No problem finding the Parks Canada rep but she's getting a little tired of Emmett's shouts of support as she heads off to find the cache. Meanwhile, back under the tram, Stéphane's second attempt is a success despite his fears. Well done dad. While he gets back into the tram Ashley heads out and Ashley's second attempt was also successful, making her dad so proud. At the canyon, Kristen is heading down while Jillian is proving to be a lousy geocacher wandering about without a clue. As it starts to rain on Whistler's Mountain the weather has taken a turn for the worse and they've shut down the challenge. This has forced all teams remaining to wait the allotted time that it would have taken to complete the challenge before receiving their next clue. On the upside that alleviates some teams from facing their fear of heights but it's going to leave Anne & Tanya in last place. Kate & Kelly get their clue but they lose their raft by not dragging it ashore when they landed. Fortunately it didn't go too far and they're able to retrieve it and get on with the challenge. Unfortunately that lost time has allowed Brandon & Anthony to close the gap. The boys are almost ashore by the time the girls retrieve their raft. Kristen may be able to pass Jillian here as she gets her tracker but Jillian has finally figured out geocaching and she and Emmett are now on their way to the Pit Stop at Pyramid Lake Resort. This is a great place to stay and a very relaxing lake to canoe on but there'll be no relaxing today because Kristin found a cache and Steph & Kristin are racing up on Jillian & Emmett. Stéphane & Antoine and Joel & Ashley both get the Roadblock clue and its now up to Antoine and Joel to show what they're made of. The remaining teams finally get their clue at the SkyTram and are quick to locate the next clue thanks to the joys of editing. As they head for the rafts, Kate goes over the cliff and Anthony is quick to follow. While they're waiting Brandon tells Kelly they also took the penalty, and that's their second mistake of the day. Jillian & Emmett are Team Number 1 and have won a trip for two to London, England with five nights accommodation from Hotels.com. As they walk off Steph & Kristen are Team Number 2, and happy to be there even if they're not first. Kate finds the cache and Kate & Kelly are off to the Pit Stop with Anthony & Brandon just seconds behind them and sure they can beat the girls in a foot race. Nope. Kate & Kelly are the third to arrive but they receive a four hour penalty and as Anthony & Brandon arrive to receive the same four hour penalty they're starting to worry. They should be worried. Thanks to some misdirection on the road, which is pretty hard to do in Jasper where there aren't that many roads, Anne & Tanya have managed to catch up to everyone else so it's game on, even though they're still in last place heading to the canyon. If they knew about the two teams waiting out penalties they'd feel a lot more relieved but at least now they're back in the pack. At the Pit Stop, Stéphane & Antoine are Team Number 3 and Joel & Ashley are Team Number 4. Frankie goes into the canyon, then Julie, then Rita, and finally Tanya. While all the other teams find the cached clue, Julie is copying Jillian and has fallen into last place, . . . but not by much as the others repeat their ability to get lost on the road. Everyone is racing for Pyramid Lake Resort and somehow Julie & Lowell pull ahead of Frankie & Amy and it's Julie & Lowell as Team Number 5 and Frankie & Amy as Team Number 6. Somehow Anne & Tanya have gotten lost again with Rita & Yvette right beside them and they're running out of time. There's only 58 minutes left as those penalties are counting down and that's cutting it pretty close. Finally they find the lake and Rita & Yvette are the ninth team to arrive, making Anne & Tanya the tenth and final team to arrive . . . However, thanks to the two teams still waiting out their penalties, Rita & Yvette are Team Number 7 and Anne & Tanya are Team Number 8. With that Jon calls the two penalized teams over and Kate & Kelly are Team Number 9, which leaves Anthony & Brandon as the last team to be checked in and they have been eliminated from the race. Lesson learned for the other teams, . . . quitting is not an option. They were the youngest team this season and even though they seemed to have a better attitude than a lot of young people today, their youth worked against them. Sorry boys, we'll chat with you soon. That's it. The first episode of season four has finally aired and we're back in the saddle again. Wayne and I are looking forward to talking with all the teams and hope to get a few guests at the Druid if we're lucky. This was a great episode and I really enjoyed it. The editing was top-notch, even with a few of those blink and you miss it cuts. Thank goodness for my PVR. Next week nine teams race to Calgary to continue facing their fear of heights, test their rhythm, flounder with flounders, and find two Express Passes on the line. While they're busy doing that Wayne and I will be right here to tell you all about it. In the meantime, keep an eye out for our video review of this episode coming real soon. Until that time. It's taken awhile to get back to this but I'm here to review the final three teams for the fourth season. Yeah, I know I'm late and I'm sure there are a few of you that'll call me on it but in my defence I'm not used to having to work outdoors for eight hours a day in the fresh air, rain or shine, and by the time I get done I'm, well, done. No worries though, production has conveniently placed season four to air on Tuesday evenings which allows me to be on time and fit in our regular video blogs on Wednesday as those are my days off. Enough about me and my petty little problems let's get on with it.
The eighth team to review is Kelly Xu (25) and Kate Pan (25), from Toronto. These best friends and business partners took a leap of faith in opening a fitness business aimed at International Chinese Students and they are the first female Asian team to compete in Amazing Race Canada. Kelly's fear of ghosts and haunted houses shouldn't be an issue but once again we have Kate with her fear of heights and fishy/birdy animals. Yeah, that's gonna be tested for sure. Their Team Motto is "Fit Fun Fabulous" but with their backpacks full of hair and makeup peripherals I'm a little concerned. It's not like they're running with their dad to carry the pack. Team number nine gives us the mother and daughter team of Frankie Gassler (41) and Amy Gassler (25) from Aldergrove, B.C. who work s a hair stylist and barber respectively. This is another situation where the roles are reversed as Amy is the more mature one who will likely need to keep her mother in check during the race. Frankie is afraid of small spaces while Amy is afraid of heights and we all know that both of those are going to come up a lot during the season. Their Team Motto is “Don’t step on people to win, unless they get in your way” and that sounds a lot like the attitude that Wayne and I would have going into the race. We wouldn't aim to be the bad guys, but we'd have no problem with it. The last team for season four, team number ten, is no stranger to reality television. It's Jillian MacLaughlin (30) and Emmett Blois (28) from Nova Scotia, whom I'm sure many of you will remember from Big Brother Canada where Jillian was the premiere season winner. They dated for awhile then eventually broke it off to remain friends but the race may find them rekindling their romance, or killing each other along the way. Both of them are afraid of heights so . . . Their Team Motto is “Always race like you’re in last place!” and though that's a good idea, the goal is to never actually find yourself there. So that's it. Only ten teams this season and it also looks like Air Canada has dropped out as a sponsor which could prove to be either a blessing or a curse for the season. With so many racers afraid of heights I guarantee that there will be a lot of height related challenges this season and even though Wayne thinks I'm afraid of heights as well, I'm not. Heights don't bother me, it's that splat at the bottom if you slip and fall. I would have liked to have seen more teams, twelve would have been a nice number, but I'm just one guy ranting away on the internet who has no control over those things and I'll just have to believe that production knows what they're doing. They should, they've managed to keep The Amazing Race Canada as one of the most watched programs on Canadian television and that's helped Wayne and I have one of the most loved blog sites about The Amazing Race Canada. Looking forward to the season premiere on June 28th when both Wayne and I will get down to the nitty gritty of why we're here, and then we'll meet up once again for our video blogs from the pub. Until that time. We're back and ready to race through another season of the Amazing Race Canada. Of course some of you haven't even had enough time to miss me if you've been following my other reviews but for those who only check in during TARC seasons . . . strap in. This is why Wayne and I started this blog and it's always good to get back to it because we are huge fans of the show and someday intend to be the first racers to that final mat. Until then, we get to review everything that's TARC and then some.
Some of you have already read Wayne's reviews of the teams but I figure I should put my own spin on things so, now that they've announced the first seven teams, it's time to get to it . . . in no particular order. That said, let's get started with what I'm sure is going to be one of Wayne's favourite teams starting off, Joel Ground (42) and his daughter Ashley Callingbull (26), the reigning Mrs. Universe. This father/daughter team are proud members of the Enoch Cree Nation just outside of Edmonton and close enough to hang out with Wayne and I at the Druid for one of our video recaps. They're also the first race team to identify as First Nation. Joel's background as a mechanic should ensure we have no oil change mishaps during the race but his fear of heights will definitely get a few challenges, while Ashley's background in pageantry, motivational speaking, and acting could make her a triple threat with a target already on her back and her fear of bugs isn't going to help. Their Team Motto is “Team A & J – all the way! If you’re not first, you’re last!” and though that's not entirely true it's one they may want to keep up with. The second team to review is Anthony Limbombe (21) and Brandon Campeau (21), both from Windsor, Ontario. These best friends are both servers in a restaurant and Anthony is also a nursing student who, for some weird reason, has a fear of feet. Brandon's fears are a little more normal since he's afraid of heights and spiders and I can pretty much guarantee that he'll encounter at least one of those fears this season. Their Team Motto is "BumpNGrind" and I have no idea why but I'm sure we'll find out. The third team is Steph Eclair (27) and Kristen McKenzie (25), a dating couple from Toronto where Steph works as a lawyer and Kristen is and Account Executive. They're both former varsity softball athletes and highly competitive but with Steph's fear of sharks and Kristen's fear of snakes that competitiveness may be tested. Their Team Motto is "She's always right" and I guess that works for both of them. Our fourth team is Rita Yakibonge (23) an Account Representative and her twin sister Yvette Yakibonge (23, duh) who's a Service Canada Agent. These girls were born in Montreal but had the good fortune to move to Edmonton (just kidding). Rita is afraid of heights, which she will definitely encounter this season, while Yvette is afraid of large bodies of water. How large? are we talking like huge puddles, lakes, or oceans? I guess we'll find out. They have four other sisters so you know these girls are going to be competitive and their ability to speak French will be an asset. Their Team Motto is "Slay!" which isn't exactly a motto, more of an attitude, but whatever works. Team number five is the father and son team of Stéphane Tétreault (51) and Antoine Tétreault (25) from Montreal and I wouldn't be surprised to see some form of an alliance with the twins. Dad is an entrepreneur who is afraid of heights, while his son is a business financial analyst who is afraid of snakes. Okay, I'm calling it, there will definitely be some height related and snake related challenges this season, probably a lot of them with this many racers having those fears. Oddly enough, Antoine is the more mature of the two but this doesn't surprise Wayne and I as entrepreneurs tend to have a few quirks. Their Team Motto is “If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen!” which is exactly what they've done by entering the race . . . but this is going to be an entirely different kind of heat. On to team number six, the married couple of Julie Taylor (33), a speech and language pathologist and her husband Lowell Taylor (34), a registered psychologist from Lethbridge, Alberta. That's three teams from Alberta and still no Team Gord & Wayne. Julie's fear of snakes is right in line with many of the other racers but I can relate to Lowell's fear of not being able to help his wife and kids due to his disability because I used to have an issue that would lay me out for 48 hours at a time with very little warning and it got to a point that I was afraid to go anywhere alone with my kids when they were a lot younger. Lowell's disability is Retinitis Pigmentosa which basically means he has no peripheral vision, minimal night vision and is legally blind. They'll be an interesting team to watch and I hope they do well as this will be great training for Lowell who hopes to compete in the Paralympic Games. Their Team Motto is “Racing with heart…not sight” and it's a good one to adhere to. Our last team to review (until they release more teams) are the Supermoms, Anne Morrone (40) and Tanya Muzzatti (40) from Toronto who have been best friends for 35 years and are both single moms. So who's minding the kids? Yeah, it would take a dad to asks that question. Anne is afraid of spiders and snakes while Tanya is afraid of heights, and I guess we should look forward to at least one spider challenge as well this season. I have one more question, why would anyone wear leather workout pants? That is definitely coming up during an interview. Their Team Motto is “Fearless, fabulous, gonna win it!” and they might, but they're already up against some tough competition and there's more to come. So that's it for now, . . . three teams from Alberta, three teams from Ontario, and another team from Quebec. It's looking like an east versus west showdown but I'm sure they'll round out the rest of the country with the final team announcements. I'm leaning heavily towards the father/daughter team because I always love travelling with my daughter and enjoy watching that dynamic, while the father/son team is looking good on paper. two teams of best friends, a married couple, a dating couple and twin sisters. Yep, it's gonna be a fun season. I'll be back soon with a review of the final teams once they're released and next week we may have another surprise in store for you here at Gord & Wayne HQ. It's so hush hush that I'm not even sure what's going on. See you real soon. After fourteen weeks this is the big one, the two hour finale for Survivor, Season 32, Brains vs Brawn vs Beauty (The Rematch). Or we could call it Tai's Angels because without them he might not even have made it to the finale. Either way I'm right here to let you know how it all plays out and we'll finally find out which one of these four has outplayed, outwitted, and outlasted all the others. But first . . .
We join Jeff onstage and see all the Survivors backstage at CBS before he takes us back to Kaoh Rong with a quick recap of the season. One evacuation after another, idol battles, blindsides, wasted advantages . . . it's been a tough season. We're down to Michelle, Aubry, Cydney and of course Tai, with a little video recap on each. And let's not forget Mark (the chicken) who's managed to survive all the way to the end without ending up as anyone's dinner. The dawn of Day 36 and Mark may be running out of time as he tries to wake his tribe. Maybe the grand prize winner should be Mark. Tai takes Mark down to the beach while the others sleep. Then Aubry wakes and has a morning chat with Tai to set up a final three which includes Cydney, but it's certainly not in Michelle's best interest. Time for a Reward Challenge and today's challenge may be just what Michelle needs. They need to race under a net to the far end, then slide tiles (like on a shuffleboard) into the correct pile, and then use a machete to move the tiles over a teeter totter and along a balance beam where they'll match up the pairs to get three numbers that will raise their flag. The reward is a meal to refuel their spirit and their stomach delivered to camp. Cydney raced through the net and sliding those tiles and has all her tiles and starts stacking four tiles on the machete, but she drops, twice. That allowed Aubry to take the lead as Cydney drops again. Tai starts moving tiles but drops. Now Michelle is in it with her tiles but she may be too late because Aubry is already starting to match her tiles. Cydney falls again as Aubry races through this and tries her combination but she may have the wrong tiles. Cydney now has her tiles and starts pairing them up while Tai returns with his last set. Aubry realizes where she messed up and tries to get it first but Tai and Cydney are both there, and unfortunately for them both wrong . . . Aubry gets it right and raises her flag. Aubry has won a meal and the chance to bring one person with her so Aubry invites Cydney . . . completely unaware of the secret alliance that Michelle and Tai have been working on. Mmm, mashed potatoes, meat, drinks, all on a nice little side table away from the other two. Cydney and Aubry have shared every reward so far so it's not a surprise to find them sharing this one. Meanwhile Michelle and Tai know that they're on the bottom and one of them is likely to be going home at tribal. That puts Michelle in a position to think outside the box and come up with a backup plan that counts on flipper, I mean Tai. Day 37 and we're on to the Immunity Challenge. Jeff takes back the necklace and tells them they'll need to race out into the ocean and climb a tower to get a key to unlock stairs to find a second key to unlock a rope ladder to get a pole to knock off a bag of puzzle pieces to solve a three level puzzle and win the Immunity Necklace. Cydney takes the lead into the water but Aubry has her first key and heads back with Tai behind her. They both unlock their ladder and race up to find the next key with Cydney and Michelle right behind. Back into the water to get the next key and then get the ladder to get her next key and then back out to the bag of puzzle pieces. Aubry is way ahead of everyone else and has her pieces before anyone else even gets back to the water. Cydney gets her pieces, then Tai, then Michelle. Everyone but Aubry looks wiped. The puzzle looks like the equalizer as the others start to catch up to Aubry. Tai takes the lead as he gets the first level, and then Michelle gets her first level. Tai has now finished his second level and on to his third. Cydney is almost completely out of this and Aubry looks pretty stumped. So much for her enormous lead. It looks like it's going to be either Tai or . . . too late, Michelle has it and guarantees herself a spot in the final three. Well done Michelle. Michelle really needed that win and she pulled it off at the last minute. If the angels are thinking it may be time to cut Tai loose and enjoy some chicken dinner for three, but somehow I doubt they'll actually think about an all girl finale. If they do, it may be a Survivor first because I can't recall another finale with only women at the end. Michelle now finds herself in the power position but it also means that if she takes the wrong person to the end it could cost her the million dollars. Aubry and Tai go to get water and discuss their options, but secretly Aubry knows that Tai flips on a dime and it may be time to make other plans. While they gather water, Cydney and Michelle get a chance to make their own plans as they gather mangoes. It looks like there's going to be another blindside at Tribal, but on who? Cydney asks Michelle if she should be working on her fire making skills but Michelle tells her that she thinks she's safe. Then Michelle tells Tai that she's voting out Aubry . . . and despite his previous agreement he thinks Aubry should go. Yep, he's flipped again. Good thing she's already suspicious as they head to Tribal. At Tribal Jeff brings in the jury and we see that Joe is looking a lot better. Jeff asks Michelle how she managed to get the puzzle and she admits she just saw it. Then Jeff talks to Aubry about the fact that voting someone out moves them to the jury with information that could end your chance of winning the game. Aubry admits that strengths and weaknesses may be viewed differently by everyone. Jeff asks Michelle if she feels the power of wearing the Immunity Necklace and she admits to feeling nervous because she needs to use that power wisely. Time to vote. Jeff gathers the votes and because there's no more immunity idols he reads the votes. Aubry, Cydney, Aubry, and Cydney. It's a tie. He asks if Tai and Michelle want to revote or are they locked in and they both admit they're locked in so I guess Cydney should have worked on those fire starting skills after all. Aubry and Cydney are set up with their fire making kit and the first one to burn through the rope and raise their flag stays in the game. Cydney gets a tiny flame but it goes out, then Aubry gets a flame. Aubry starts adding sticks to build her flame while Cydney keeps failing to get her flame to start. While Cydney tries to start her flame, Scot shakes his head. Aubry's flame is at the rope but it's burning away from it and . . . now it's not. When Aubry tried to fix it she crushed her flame and now her flame is gone. Damn. Cydney is still trying to get hers to start, but there's nothing. Aubry gets her fire going again . . . and there it is. Aubry survives another day and Cydney joins the jury after 37 days. It's pretty emotional for her because she feels she's letting down her mom. It looked pretty emotional for the other three as well, but the jury was almost laughing about it. That's one really bitter jury. As we cut away, we're back in the studio when Jeff introduces Cydney's mom, who doesn't look much older than her daughter. There's lots of tears from mom who has watched her baby girl go through a lot this season but she's damn proud, and rightly so. Cydney played a good game. Right after Tribal nobody was feeling good because they had all become fairly close but Aubry is feeling better now knowing she's still in the game. Tai and Michelle never saw that coming even if it did go to the fire starting challenge because they had been so focused on taking Cydney to the end. Tai still thinks there may be another challenge coming up because Jeff never announced that the power now shifts to the jury. The final challenge is announced on the morning of Day 38. I guess Tai was right and now it's a seriously individual game. They all need that necklace, but only one of them will win it. When they get to the challenge Jeff takes back the necklace and then tells them they're not playing for immunity . . . they really are the final three . . . but . . . the winner of this challenge earns the right to vote out a jury member. All three of them need to balance on a beam on a spring and use a long pole to balance balls and stands on a post. Tai seems to take the lead but then it's Michelle, then back to Tai, then Aubry' then . . .one after the other until Michelle knocks her tower. Then Aubry drops, and then Tai drops and they all start over. Michelle moves quickly into the lead with Aubry on her tail. Michelle places her fifth stand as Aubry places her fourth ball. Then Michelle is on to her sixth stand as Tai falls way behind, and both girls race back with their last ball. Aubry's balls fall but Michelle's stay solid and she wins the reward. The kicker is, she gets to read her reward at tribal to the jury so she can see the reaction. Her choice could seriously make or break any of their games. With the challenge out of the way the three of them can now relax, . . . well, except for Michelle who once again has a decision to make. Michelle goes to Tai who thinks she should remove Joe who was Aubry's closest ally. Of course Tai knows that Joe would never vote for him so it's kind of self-serving advice. Then Michelle goes to Aubry and mentions that the names she's thinking about happen to be Aubry's two votes. Aubry points out all the friends that Tai has made on the jury and then Aubry throws Scot under the Survivor bus. With all three of them together in the shelter, Michelle is thinking Scot and Tai is getting a bit concerned. He goes back to pushing for Joe and Michelle knows that whatever decision she makes it's the last one the jury will remember. They head off to Tribal and Jeff brings in the jury, who discover it's a final three and then Jeff tells Michelle to read her advantage which really surprised the jury as this advantage is a Survivor first and nobody saw it coming. Jeff starts chatting with Michelle to see how she's planning her decision and she admits that she's discussed it with the others. Aubry points out that the advantage can be used in different ways, and Tai says you can make a big statement with this decision. Jeff asks Michelle if she feels confident in her decision and she has decided that the person she's removing wouldn't have voted for her so Jeff tells her it's time to vote. Michelle casts her one vote and Jeff retrieves it and Michelle has removed . . . Neil, who will be sequestered until after the votes but not before making a rather angry speech personally to Michelle as he went past. They've got one night left, which is more than Neil has. Back to the "live" stage where Jeff reveals there will be a guest at the final Tribal Council, but is it a twist or . . . I guess we'll find out soon enough. The final three join Mark back at camp under the blue light special and Michelle feels pretty good about her decision. Aubry is devastated but she's not going out without a fight. The sun rises on Day 39 and the final three are told to follow a trail which will lead them to a mirror and a scale to see how the game has affected them. They're all surprised by the changes before moving on to a refreshing selection of food and drink for their final meal. There's some personal footage of each of them with a little preview of how they hope to sway the jury and they all sound good but Aubry sounds the most worried. As they settle in at their final Tribal, Jeff brings in the jury. Scot still looks pissed to be on the jury as he scowls at all three of them, but then again, Scot's a sore loser. Jeff gives them a moment to gather their thoughts and then . . . Nick gets started with how the jury feels and tells Michelle to display intelligence, Tai to display awareness and Aubry to display confidence. Debbie says they should be proud of themselves but then she asks Tai if he has more than one personality in his skull or what. Tai doesn't feel like he has multiple personalities or that he flipped that much. Then Debbie says it was great to watch Aubry grow and feels she helped her get where she is now and wonders if Aubry would have done the same to which Aubry agrees, at least to a point. Debbie is proud of Aubry so at least we know where her vote is going. Julia attacks Michelle for being weak and under the radar but she was proud of her move to blindside her ally and Michelle said it was unfortunate she had to vote her out. Julia asks Tai if he feels he deserves her vote to win and he pretty much says it depends on what she values. Then Joe asks Tai what makes him think he's played better than Aubry and Tai says his big move was getting out Scot (deep angry scowl) and then Joe asks Aubry and she says that without her Tai would have been out long ago. Jason tells them he doesn't know who to vote for and asks about the vote to get rid of Scot and he asks Michelle how she got into that alliance to do so and she says she made moves to be there. Then Jason asks Tai why he left the alliance with Scot and Tai admits to getting scared and not liking the way Jason and Scot were talking. Time for Cydney to ask Aubry about the last tribal if the plan was to get rid of her from the start, which it wasn't. Then Cydney asks Michelle and Aubry interrupts to see if Michelle knew how Aubry was voting which she didn't, but that kinda cut off Cydney's question which may have ticked her off more than had Aubry remained silent. Scot finally gets up and tells Tai that he had an idol and didn't use it, then wasted his advantage, then he tells Aubry he respected her at the start but why should he vote for her and Aubry says they played a different game but she played it better. Then Scot tells Michelle that she out-toughed both Tai and Aubry, so that's likely going to be his vote. With that Jeff usually wraps up the procedure but he gives the final three a chance to wrap up their own game. Aubry gave a great speech about how well she played and how much she loves the game. Tai says he believes in kindness and then Tai gets all emotional and as usual starts rambling on in a personal direction and went off topic. Michelle says that she's a bit concerned that people felt she hadn't played an intelligent game but she stayed happy throughout and she's proud of how she played. Based on those speeches I'd be giving my vote to Aubry, or maybe Michelle, but I'm not on the jury. Jeff tells the jury that they're voting for the winner and he sends Scot off to get things started. I still think they should be voting for Mark. Everyone votes and then Jeff goes to grab the votes but before wrapping up he asks Tai if he has a plan on how to get Mark home, which Tai doesn't, so they have to let Mark go and they all bid him farewell as Jeff walks out of one jungle and into another at the CBS Studio in Los Angeles. I think Mark was the surprise guest at Tribal, unless we're talking the wrap up Tribal on stage, which is always filled with guests. The three finalists cleaned up pretty well to sit around a fake tribal fire on stage as Jeff reads the votes. Michelle, Aubry, Aubry, Michelle, Michelle, and the winner of Survivor is . . . Michelle. She hugs Aubry and Tai and then races off stage to hug her family and friends. Yay Michelle, I think that was well earned. I'm not going to bother reviewing the Reunion show because it gets a bit hard to follow but the one thing that Michelle revealed is that she played a strong social game and she really didn't make any enemies. At one point, a big fan of the show, Sia (whoever that is) was so moved by Tai and how he lived his life and treated Mark that she came onstage to donate $50,000 to Tai and another $50,000 to Tai's favourite animal charity. That's a pretty big gesture for a fan, and a big win for Mark. Next season it's those pesky Millenials versus Gen-X and it should be a good one but we'll have to wait until the fall for that season. That's a wrap on my reviews for a few weeks but I'll be right back here June 28th when Wayne and I start reviewing the fourth season of The Amazing Race Canada. We can hardly wait. We're about to wrap up another amazing season of the Amazing Race with this finale episode which will take the final three teams from Shenzhen, China to Santa Barbara, California. Tyler & Korey have proven to be punsters to be reckoned with, while Dana & Matt have managed to dance their way to the final leg despite all of her nagging, and Sheri & Cole are the comeback kids who've managed to avoid elimination three times now. They've got to be one of the luckiest, navigationally challenged teams in Amazing Race history but they've kinda grown on me.
Tonight's episode starts with a season wide recap where we get a reminder of all the teams who've been eliminated. Then we get footage of the final three teams and how they've handled the race throughout. That whole recap took less than three minutes, Big Brother Canada could learn a thing or two from that. Even though Tyler & Korey were the first to the mat, everyone will be getting an upgrade for the flight home in Premium Class and they're all on the same flight to Los Angeles, California. When they arrive in Los Angeles they'll need to make their way to Angelus Plaza to find their next clue. Everyone grabs a cab from the airport and off they go. Dana & Matt are the first to arrive at the Roadblock, A Leap Of Faith where someone will have to leap off the edge of a building to grab the clue 170 feet above the ground. Matt chooses to do it, then Sheri chooses to do it to save Cole having to face his fear again. Tyler & Korey are the last team to get to the plaza and Tyler decides to take the leap. Neither Matt nor Sheri want to look down as they step onto the edge. Matt jumps and grabs his clue on the first try and Dana & Matt are off on a helicopter ride 90 miles north to the city of Santa Barbara. As Dana & Matt head out, Sheri starts to panic and cry on the edge but then she makes the jump . . . and misses. On the ground Cole gives her a big hug and reassures her. When Tyler makes the leap, he misses too. Dana & Matt have taken the lead and I've noticed how Dana isn't snapping at Matt now that there's no pressure at the moment. Back on the ledge Sheri makes another jump and grabs her clue, leaving Tyler & Korey in the back . . . especially when Tyler misses his second jump. Good thing he grabbed it on the third. I love helicopter rides despite all the noise inside of them. I once took my kids up in a helicopter when they were really young to fly over the Rockies and the one who was most excited to get into the helicopter was the most terrified to look outside once we were in the air. Too bad because they missed a great view, even better than this one flying out of Los Angeles. Welcome to Santa Barbara where Dana & Matt are off to the harbour in search of a fishing boat. They can see the second team coming in for a landing as they race off in a cab, arrive at the harbour and find their marked dingy. Off they go in search of the Theresa Ann. While they're on the water, Sheri & Cole are back on land. Dana & Matt find the Theresa Ann and their next clue and they now need to make their way up Gibraltar Rock to find their next clue. When they get back to shore they realize they should have kept their cab. Meanwhile Sheri & Cole are getting in the dingy and looking for the Theresa Ann, . . . as they float right on by. Dana & Matt finally ask someone for help and they call them a cab as Tyler & Korey land in Santa Barbara. This could be the biggest mistake in the race that Dana & Matt have made, especially in the final leg when even a few minutes lead is priceless. This is not the time to be releasing your cab into the wild. Dana & Matt find a cab while Sheri & Cole are still on the water and Tyler & Korey arrive, and remember to ask their cab to wait. Sheri finally spots the Theresa Ann, grabs the clue and hopes not to get spotted by Tyler & Korey. As Sheri & Cole get back to shore, Tyler & Korey almost run into the Theresa Ann. Unfortunately the cab Sheri & Cole found (which I think was Tyler & Korey's) had no idea where to go, and they grabbed another one. Dana & Matt have found Gibraltar Rock and now they need to perform a synchronized climbing maneuver to grab two halves of a clue, . . . one of them has to climb across Rattlesnake Canyon on a cable while the other scales the cliff side and the further out one goes the lower the other drops. Matt was a little quick going across and that got Dana a little stressed but he knew what he was doing Grainger the furthest clue first. Meanwhile, Tyler & Korey must have taken that bad cab because their driver had no clue where they were heading. That looked like a lot of work doing that synchronized climb and used a lot of upper body strength, but Dana & Matt completed the task and now have both halves of the clue. As they piece their clue together, Sheri & Cole have arrived and are suiting up. Dana & Matt are on their way to the Grassini Family Vineyards for the next clue. As Dana & Matt drive down they see Tyler & Korey driving up, but the boys never saw them. While Tyler & Korey get ready, Cole finds himself stuck trying to pull himself back and at the edge of the cliff, as Sheri is climbing up, she tells Tyler that the dancers had already left. Now Tyler & Korey know they're in last place. They've made up some time on this task but it's now time to hustle boys. Dana & Matt arrive at the Grassini Family Vineyards and run right past the bale of hay with all the clues in it. That's not exactly a good idea, but definitely something you could overlook in the excitement of being near the finish line when you're focused on finding a clue box. Dana & Matt run back to the start and find the clue for another Roadblock, Roll Out The Barrels. They need to spell out nine cities based on the hashtags in the clues throughout the race and hang those letters off the ends of the barrels. Dana's a little stressed having the entire race fall on her shoulders but she's just racing through this a lot faster than I think Matt would have. At the speed she's going she could be done before the other teams arrive. She calls for a check and she's done it, all before anyone else arrives. She races back to Matt and they open the clue. They're off to the finish line somewhere in the vineyard. As Dana & Matt run in search of Phil, Sheri & Cole arrive and Cole gets started, then Tyler & Korey arrive and it's all Korey. Too late though, because Dana & Matt round a corner and they can hear the music. Dana & Matt are the winners of the Amazing Race and having all the other teams applaud as they race in was great. Phil was a little concerned at one point during the season that they were going to implode but somehow they made it work. Congratulations to Dana & Matt, it was a well earned win. Coming in second is Sheri & Cole who've had a great run and definitely strengthened their bond. I really liked them and as Sheri points out, this was their best finish. Coming in third is Tyler & Korey, who are still smiling and still friends. There are smiles and tears of joy all around, and of course a ton of hugs, as the final three get to say their farewells and we fade to black. Well, that's it. Somehow, despite all of her negative attitude, Dana & Matt have won Season 28 of The Amazing Race. As Wayne and I have always said, the only leg that matters is the last one. I'm not unhappy with the result but I am surprised, . . . although, to be honest I'd have been more surprised if Sheri & Cole had won. Next week I've got one more to go as I review the Survivor finale and then I've got a few weeks off before Wayne and I are both back to review The Amazing Race Canada on June 28th. Until that time. This is it, the night all Big Brother Canada fans have been waiting for. The grand two hour finale when Canada crowns its first International Big Brother franchise winner. Nobody has ever won two seasons of Big Brother before and they certainly haven't done it in two different countries so it would definitely be a huge feather in the franchise's cap to have such an enormous "First". It would also really tick off Kelsey and the brothers so it probably won't happen, but it could. Let's go inside and find out.
Big dramatic opening with lots of cool shots and overlaid dialogue and then we go into a season long "previously on Big Brother Canada" review. We get a lot of focus on the brothers, . . . and then the introduction of the International WildCards, Nikki and Tim with his intention of mentoring rather than winning, . . . and then we switch over to see Kelsey who was evicted once before but managed to work her way back in for another chance. There's also the news that Ramsey received about his father which forced him to self-evict with the full support of his new friends, . . . and then one by one the house guests bid farewell. All that in just ten minutes. We join Arisa inside the High Roller room as she announces its time for the final HoH, and then we find the final 3(+1) stranded on an ice flow in a blizzard. They need to jump into frozen water to retrieve chunks of ice to build a stairway and then climb to the top to set off their flare, and that's just for part one. Phil gets to play in this one while Nick sits it out and he's probably thankful for that because that water is cold. Everyone is in the water to gather their large chunks of ice and it's apparently harder than it looks. While Kelsey struggles to find her first piece, Phil and Tim are already on to their second level. Phil takes the lead as gets to the top and starts filling his tube to get his flare. Tim thinks that Kelsey is throwing it because she hasn't even laid down one piece, but she swears she isn't. Phil's flare s finally visible but Tim is right on his tail. Phil sets off his flare and the Pax Brothers are guaranteed a spot in the final competition for HoH. Round Two is going to be just Tim versus Kelsey and I hope she does a lot better in that one than she did in this one. Between competitions they all warm up back in the house where Tim is still mentoring Kelsey and Nick. Nick points out that even though they've taken different paths to get to this point in their lives, both he and Tim have a similar compass to get them through life. Interesting. Time for Round Two and we find Kelsey on a giant poker table where she needs to uncover her task on giant poker chips and then move a bunch of giant dice in the fastest time. Kelsey does well with memory challenges, so this may be her turn to shine. On her last question though she starts to mess up by getting the order wrong between herself and Loveita and starts moving everyone but. It took awhile but she finally got it with a time of 50:03. Not a great time, and she goes off to cry it out on her own. Tim's turn to run the same challenge and Tim admits he never bothered to study who did what in the house so he's not sure how well he's going to do. However, he starts seeing everything that happened in the house like screenshots in his head and he's off and running. Well, he was, then he ran into a problem on the same question and he decided there's no way he'll ever get this one. Tim decides to forfeit and goes back inside to tell the others, but nobody seems to be there. Kelsey heard him but this isn't how she wanted to win. Day 76 and Tim knows that the only way he can win the game is if he convinces someone to take him, so he starts with the brothers. He makes his pitch and tells them there's no way they'll win against Kelsey, they'll just be throwing away $40,000 each if she's at the end beside them. Maybe, but the brothers have stuck by that alliance for some time and they'd definitely lose against Tim. Back on stage Arisa welcomes the first five evicted house guests of the season. She asks Paige what her favorite moment was this season and Paige goes for the puppies. Sharry can't believe the three finalists are all Wild Cards who should have been out weeks ago. Dallas admits that Tim has played awesomely this entire season and hopes he wins it while Loveita, on the other hand, is hoping that Kelsey wins. It's time for the final stage of the HoH Competition. Back in the house everyone is in their finest as Arisa chats with them and asks Kelsey how she made it this far and she admits she made good alliances, while Tim says he's been true to himself, and the brothers pretty much did the same. They all head to the backyard where it's Phil versus Kelsey on what looks like a Tron stage. It's a Q& A about the jury members and I'm not going to bothering repeating the questions but both are correct on the first one, then both correct on the second, then Kelsey takes the lead. Question four goes to Kelsey as well and you can see Phil is out of it, but they both get the fifth question. The sixth question goes to Kelsey and that makes her the final HoH of the season and guarantees her a spot in the final two. Now all she has to do is choose wisely who she wants to sit beside when the game flips to the jury. Let's be honest, if she chooses to take Tim, there's a good chance she'll lose, but if she takes the brothers she at least has a fighting chance. She can talk better than Phil and she has played better overall than Nick and Phil, especially Phil, but against Tim . . . He's made friends with everybody inside the house and even though he's already won in Australia I wouldn't take him to the final two. It's all up to Kelsey as she decides who to evict and who to go up against in the end. She gives a good speech but then makes the right choice and edicts Tim, who then races out of the house to meet Arisa. The crowd goes wild outside the house as Tim runs out and hugs Arisa. Tim admits that even though he could win he really came for the adventure so he's okay with it. There was that moment in the tub of popcorn where he was thinking he should win but then he decided against it . . . right around the time Kelsey chose to evict him. So Tim goes off to join the jury. The jury had some quiet time on stage the day before the crowd arrives and while they're sitting around out comes Jon Pardy, who won Season Two. He mentions the empty jury seat and out comes Cassandra who gives a quick breakdown. The jury is all upset with Tim but Cassandra admits he did stay loyal to her and Joel. Jon asks the usual questions about how the others played and everyone takes their shots, but so far they're still waiting for their final juror. After that little bit of time travel, Arisa welcomes the jury members to the live stage where they all find the last member as Tim joins them on stage. He goes for another hug with Arisa before sitting next to Cassandra. Now the jury gets to ask their questions and they open with Mitch who asks if her relationships with Raul and Jared was real or manipulative, and she says that those relationships were real. Raul asks Kelsey if having him and Jared was her best strategy and she says that they were her stabilizers even though she had formed other relationships. Maddy asks the brothers to explain how their duality benefitted their game and Nick says it was hard keeping two stories straight throughout the house. Jared tells Kelsey she looks great and then asks how her strategy changed after he and Raul left and she says that aligning with the brothers was her best option. Nikki asks the brothers how they feel about evicting her on her birthday, and Phil apologizes profusely. Joel asks Kelsey about her return and why she should win over Nick and Phil who have never been evicted and she says she played hard and won the pivotal competitions. Cassandra asks the brothers, really Phil, what his best lie in the game was and Phil asks if you really have to lie to win and he doesn't think he ever lied. We close with Tim who asks the brothers what Kelsey has done better and Phil says Kelsey has a huge heart and made real relationships and . . . Tim is having too much fun interjecting comments but eventually he gets his answer. After the break, Canada gets their chair in the jury and then Arisa brings out Ramsey as an honorary jury member. Ramsey let's everyone know that his dad is out of the hospital and doing much better now and you can see the relief on his face. It was a hard call for him to self-evict but it was the right one. Time for Kelsey to plead her case to the jury and she admits she came in blind and wanted to play with kindness and honesty and it would be nice if Cassandra would stop rolling her eyes and distracting her. Nick and Phil mention great moments and great possibilities as they plead to make Big Brother history by crowning a duo, and because there's two of them they seem to get more time, but eventually Arisa cuts them off. Speaking of time, it's time for the jury to make their vote using a poker chip with the name of whom they want to win. Mitch makes his vote and just randomly picks a chip. Raul makes his choice, then Maddy who really doesn't want either to win but probably chose Kelsey. Jared votes for Kelsey (I'm sure), then Nikki goes up to vote with a little speech about the winner being in jury. Joel votes based on luck, then Cassandra goes up and makes her choice. Tim picks who wants it the most, then Canada's jury vote is delivered by Ramsey. Now we get to tally the votes. While production tallies those votes we get some more video footage of some of the craziness involving the jury members and the final two and the inset showing their responses is actually more fun to watch. There were a lot of tears and a lot of hugs this season, and there's likely to be a bit more before the night is over. Arisa takes some time to chat with the jurors and everyone admits they've made some great bonds now that they're out of the house. Arisa then takes us back to the beginning to introduce the two other International Wild Cards who are in the audience even though they were never in the house and then we get a reminder of Tim and Nikki entering the house and the shenanigans that followed. Nikki is still way too weird especially in the selected footage, but she was very grateful to have been voted into the house. Tim is just hoping that nobody on the jury hates him because he wants to make sure he has a couch to crash on next time he comes to Canada. When he says that Cassandra will definitely have him over I'm not sure whether she was agreeing or not. They really drag out this finale with more repeat footage, this time of all the dynamic duos in the house . . . especially Jared and Kelsey. Let's not forget Cassandra and Tim, or Maddy and Ramsey, or of course Nick and Phil. Arisa asks Kelsey about her bond with Jared and she admits she couldn't have made it without him. Then Arisa says she's expecting wedding bells for Tim and Cassandra but Tim says, "nope, no bells." No kidding, right. If it weren't for all the repetitive footage this would have been a ninety minute episode, maybe even less. The results are in and it's time to crown a winner for Big Brother Canada Season Four. They only need five votes to win and Arisa pulls the first chip. Canada voted for Nick and Phil. Mitch voted for Nick and Phil. Raul voted for Kelsey, Maddy voted for Nick and Phil, Jared voted for Kelsey, Nikki voted for Nick and Phil, Joel voted for Nick and Phil, and that's all they needed. Nick and Phil have won Big Brother Canada Season Four and $100,000. The three of them race out of the house to join everyone on stage and the brothers can't believe it. Neither can I. Phil is still processing and can barely talk. There are hugs and congratulations all around as Arisa bids farewell to another great season. Kelsey doesn't walk away empty handed though, as the runner up she gets $20,000 which is nothing to sneeze at. Overall it's been a really good season with some really interesting house guests. There were a few that I would have liked to see stay longer in the house, and a few others that overstayed their welcome right from the start, but it was a good cast and I'm sure we were all entertained. Personally I'm surprised that the brothers won because Kelsey played a better game but apparently being popular is the key here . . . which is probably why I can't wait for season four of The Amazing Race Canada where teams win not because of their popularity but because they ran the best they could. I'll be back soon with my review of the Amazing Race finale and then the Survivor finale before taking a short break. I know that the US version of Big Brother is almost upon us but I'm not sure that I'll review it quite as thoroughly, if at all. Maybe, but I'll decide that based on those who actually think I should continue saying they've enjoyed my reviews this season. I will however be here for The Amazing Race Canada as soon as it airs, probably sooner. Farewell house guests. We're back in the BBCan Grand with Nick and Phil in charge as the new HoHs and Tim and Cassandra on the block. That doesn't mean that Kelsey is safe because if she loses the veto she could find herself back up on the block. We get the usual recap of the last few episodes which obviously includes a reminder of all the lies that Cassandra has told inside the house, and Tim and Cassandra's public feud that masks their continuing alliance.
With that out of the way we join Arisa on stage as she tells us about the surprise eviction and then calls the house guests to the living room. When she calls them in they all figure they're in trouble but then Arisa gives them the heads up that within the hour another houseguest will be heading out the door. The boys are counting on Kelsey winning the PoV and keeping the nominations the same and then voting out Cassandra. She is their primary target, which is a bit of a surprise since the boys have always wanted Tim out. I guess they want Cassandra out more, so she's gone into serious campaign mode, starting with Kelsey. Hopefully Kelsey doesn't believe a word she says. Meanwhile the boys are surprised that Tim has had the most nominations this season. I guess they weren't keeping track. Good thing that's not part of the PoV competition because Arisa is back to let us know about the PoV competition which will take place in the jury doll house. Tim is the first one to try and win the PoV and as the horn sounds he races in to find the clues. There are three clues for each jury member hidden throughout the house which then need to be placed on their realtor signs. Tim completes the challenge and hopes he has the fastest time, but he's misplaced a few of the clues. Next it's Kelsey's turn to head into the jury doll house. She's doing really good retrieving the clues and putting them with the right jury member, but just like Tim she gets stuck on the patio door for a bit. She's down to her last clue and she just can't see it sitting above the painting at the top of the stairs. She finds it p, hits the buzzer and she's done, but was she fast enough? Cassandra's turn and even though her life in the game depends on it I don't think she's likely to have the fastest time. It's all in the editing mind you but her first attempt was wrong so she needs to move a few clues around. She's not to sure about this but she gets it. The last one to try their hand is Nick and he really wants those nominations to remain the same so he's racing through the house. Nick runs into the same issue with the patio door and searches the entire house for the key before checking the jacket at the front door. He thinks he did well and now it's time to find out. The winner of the PoV with a time of 14:40 is . . . Nick. Well done little brother. Bye bye Cassandra. Probably. Well, as long as Kelsey sticks to the plan. In the end, Kelsey is the only one who gets a vote and she needs to figure out what's best for her endgame. Rather than relying on Kelsey saving her, Cassandra decides it's time to convince Tim to fall on his sword for her. Tim knows she's playing him, but he also knows how much she really wants to win. I can't believe that Tim is actually thinking of taking himself out to save Cassandra. It may be noble but that's certainly not how he won Big Brother Australia. Time for a little time travel as we roll back to right after Arisa tells the house guests about the surprise eviction. Cassandra takes Tim aside to beg him to throw it for her so she stays safe but Tim just smiles his usual Tim smile. Cassandra really wants to win but Tim is not her Prince Charming and he tells her so. After failing with Tim, Cassandra turns to Kelsey to keep her in the house and Kelsey has mastered Tim's grin. Time to get back to the present as Arisa calls everyone back to see if the brothers are going to use the PoV. The brothers have decided not to use the PoV so the decision is up to Kelsey, who rises and bids farewell to Cassandra. Cassandra gives everyone a hug and then heads out, leaving the final three (plus one) to congratulate themselves on making it to the end after all that tension. Outside the BBCan Grand, Arisa welcomes Cassandra to a quiet stage and Cassandra is so glad to see another human. She can't believe she just walked out those doors and when Arisa asked her what went wrong Cassandra felt that they all thought she was the bigger threat. Arisa asks about her relationship with Tim and she says it was great to work with him and she's putting her money in Tim to win. Arisa sends Cassandra off to jury house and tells her she'll see her at the finale . . . tomorrow. So close and yet so far. Arisa goes back to talk to the house guests about Ramsey's void in the jury house and then tells them that the final jury vote will be given to . . . Canada. They're about to be asked a few questions from Canada and their answers will determine who Canada gives their vote to and you can almost see the wheels turning in Tim's head . . . "but I'm not Canadian, they're not going to pick me." Stranger things have happened Tim, . . . Canada voted for Trudeau. Individually each houseguest goes into the High Roller room to answer . . . Why they think they deserve to win over the other house guests? . . . What was the best lie they told in the house and how did it help them? . . . What would winning Big Brother Canada mean to you? . . . Everyone gave some really good answers to all the questions and they all want Canada to pick them to win but in the end there can be only one. Depending on how the rest of the jury votes the final three are all very worthy of the win and they've all used different styles of play to get to this point. As well liked as Tim is I don't think the rest of the jury is going to vote for him to win, even though he played a great game. Nick and Phil stayed so far under the radar in the first half of the season I almost forgot they were there but they ended strong and played well despite the alternating roles every week. As for Kelsey, I think she rode Jarred's spurs for the first part of the season but after being voted out once already she came back with a vengeance and actually tried something different and it worked. Tomorrow is the season finale of Big Brother Canada Season Four and I'll be right here to let you know how it plays out. For those who've been watching the season I'm sure the end will be enjoyable even if your favorite houseguest is already hanging out in the jury house. For those who just follow my blog reviews, I'm glad you're here and I hope you've enjoyed what I've written this season. Be sure to also check out my Survivor reviews and, of course, my Amazing Race recaps. See you soon house guests. It's the 32nd night and we're down to the final five after Jason was voted out at the last Tribal Council and we rejoin our castaways right after that council as they return to camp. Tai is down to his last advantage in the game so it may be time to reassess his gameplay after going against everyone just a few hours ago. Joe explains to Tai that nobody wanted Jason around and he was a bigger threat going to the end. Tai's a little ticked that he wasted his alliance and the others are upset that he turned on them . . . again.
Tai is still trying to figure out how Michelle got into his alliance and he tells her so. Maybe it's because she doesn't keep flipping. After that Tai takes Aubry aside to ask what's going on and she tells him that nobody liked his decision to get rid of Michelle. She still wants to work with Tai and feels like she betrayed him by not telling him, but Aubry can't leave him with all the strength, not with the way he flips at every tribal. Day 33 and as the sun rises on the horizon so do the castaways, just in time for a reward challenge. They need to race into the jungle, climb a ladder and retrieve sandbags then return to toss those sandbags into a target. The reward is a spa trip, with an overnight in a real bed and a great meal. Everyone hits the jungle running with Cydney in the lead. It doesn't take long for everyone to get their first set of bags and start tossing but only Cydney and Aubry hit their targets from the first set. As everyone else leaves to get their second set Joe returns with his first set of sandbags. Joe shoots, misses and heads back into the jungle as the others return. Aubry has three, then four, as she takes the lead but she can't finish it as she's run out of sandbags. Cydney also runs out of sandbags as Joe returns. Then Tai and Michelle both run out of sandbags as Joe runs back for his last set of sandbags. Now everyone else gets to wait for Joe who finally returns. He needs two more targets and he only has two sandbags. Joe tosses and gets it. One more to go. Joe tosses . . . and he hits the final target and wins the spa reward. Jeff tells Joe he can take one more person so he calls Aubry over, then he gets to bring one more and they bring Cydney on the reward, leaving Michelle and Tai on their own. Joe, Aubry and Cydney arrive at the spa to find some delicious food and Joe can't believe he won. Cydney's a little worried with the amount of beef Joe's putting away. It's a good chance for them to lock in a final three deal, but back at camp who knows what's going on. While they're chatting Joe points out how much of a threat Aubry and Cydney are and it wasn't until then that Aubry clued in that Cydney is a threat. Now she's thinking she may need to keep Tai. Back at camp Tai is on damage control as he tries to repair his relationship with Michelle. They both see the writing on the wall that the others may be planning a final three deal and they're a little concerned. Tai offers to give Michelle a massage and he appears to be pretty good at it. Michelle is really enjoying her Tai massages do afterwards Tai brings up the idea of working together. They both know they're on the outs so it's time to restrategize and work together. Tai feels betrayed by Aubry, and rightly so, so it's time for Tai to flip again. His spine must be made of rubber. Day 34 finds Tai and Mark, the chicken, enjoying the sunrise as they wait for the others to return. As they walk up the beach, Tai walks out to meet them. Now it's Aubry on damage control because she knows that Tai is a very emotional player and she needs to take him with her to the end. They walk off to chat and Tai is a bit non-commital. Aubry tells him she wants the final three to be her Tai and Joe. With all that confession Tai breaks down in tears and Aubry gives him a hug. Meanwhile, Joe and Cydney are talking about all the food they ate right in front of Michelle. That was a bit rude. When Aubry and Tai return, Cydney thinks there's something fishy going on so she wanders off with Michelle for a chat. Things turn so quickly in Survivor and from the looks of things it could be either Joe or Aubry going home at tribal. Remember all that meat that Joe gorged himself on? Cydney was right, Joe is feeling like crap and now he's having bladder issues. He keeps wandering off and the others are really concerned because this could cause Joe to be pulled from the game. In comes the medic. The doctor and Joe discuss options, which include some medication to relieve pressure on Joe's bladder, but the doc's real concern is if it gets worse. Apparently Joe opts for the meds to start with but I'm sure that medical won't be too far away. It would really suck to be pulled with just six days left, but . . . even after the medication Joe feels terrible so he goes to talk to the others. Everyone is concerned that Joe is masking his pain, which he probably is, and while everyone is getting depressed Tai starts to cry again. Hugs all around as the day continues. Day turns to night and the doctor returns to see Joe, who hasn't been improving enough. Ironic that the last guy to win a reward is taken out because of the reward. Jeff asks if this is a medical emergency or if Joe can tolerate the pain, but the doctor has decided that he has to pull Joe from the game in order to keep him safe. Joe's not happy with the decision but he knows that his health comes first. Jeff feels that Joe will be an awesome inspiration to others and tells him it's been a pleasure to watch him in the game. Joe bids his farewell to everyone and there are tears all around and then Joe heads off with the doctor to the boat. This season has had the most evacuations ever with three, and Jeff tells the tribe that it's down to the wire to see who can outplay, outwit, and outlast. On that note he joins Joe and the doctor and that's the end of Joe's journey. Hopefully it all turns out fine and Joe can try his hand again in another season, but that's definitely going to put a kink in Aubry's endgame. Next week it's down to the final four in a two hour finale, and a big surprise that three of them are female. Aubry has already lost two of her closest allies and her third isn't exactly the most stable, Michelle has played the game based primarily on loyalty but she's been on the outside for so long she's finding it hard to get back back in, while Cydney has begun playing both sides which never ends well, and then there's Tai who's going to need to flip, flop and fly. I'll be right here to tell everyone how it all ends as I wrap up another season of reviews just in time to start planning out our reviews for Season Four of The Amazing Race Canada. Once again Wayne and I failed to make the final cut but we'll still be here with our weekly reviews and our videos. There will be beer. See you later Survivors. |
